Regina Hona CV
Born in Melbourne, Australia Regina began painting professionally in 2001. She initially trained for 3 years in oils in classical tonal realism and later attended a number of short workshops in various mediums which has allowed Regina to expand her knowledge and technique through experimentation. Regina works in oils and soft pastels and specializes in painting water subjects that allows her to evoke the artist’s and viewers emotions through the art of water. She gains her inspiration from regular visits to the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria other coastal areas and anywhere that water can be found.
She also conducts frequent workshops for art groups in Victoria and interstate with a painting tour scheduled for 2010 overseas.
Regina’s other love is portraiture and regularly enters national competitions and paints commissions. She is a member of the Melbourne artist group Fusion Six who currently have a portraiture exhibition touring nationally called – ABOUT FACE. A book has been published about this exhibition.
Regina is also Curator for ‘The Friend’s Gallery’ of Very Special Kids charity in Malvern, Victoria.

Regina currently is a speaker, judge, tutor and demonstrator for various organisations in Australia. She travels at every opportunity to paint the landscape which also enhances her studio work. Regina has been teaching drawing, pastels and oils for beginners to advanced students for over 10 years at art societies and art schools within Victoria and interstate. These include Charles Sturt University, MSCA summer and winter programs in Wagga Wagga, NSW; Grafton Artstfest, NSW; Pastel Society of South Australia, SA; Albury Wodonga Art Society, NSW; Pastel Society of Australia, QLD and many more within Victoria. In 2010 Regina is conducting a Greek Island Painting Tour through Artemis Tours.
