Regina Hona CV

Born in Melbourne, Australia Regina began painting professionally in 2001.  She initially trained for 3 years in oils in classical tonal realism and later attended a number of short workshops in various mediums which has allowed Regina to expand her knowledge and technique through experimentation.  Regina works in oils and soft pastels and specializes in painting water subjects that allows her to evoke the artist’s and viewers emotions through the art of water.  She gains her inspiration from regular visits to the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria other coastal areas and anywhere that water can be found.

She also conducts frequent workshops for art groups in Victoria and interstate with a painting tour scheduled for 2010 overseas.

Regina’s other love is portraiture and regularly enters national competitions and paints commissions.  She is a member of the Melbourne artist group Fusion Six who currently have a portraiture exhibition touring nationally called – ABOUT FACE.  A book has been published about this exhibition.

Regina is also Curator for ‘The Friend’s Gallery’ of Very Special Kids charity in Malvern, Victoria.
